Introduction to Water Source

Glacier Sanctuary and Pearl of Jiangnan: Natural Gift and Technological Protection of Dual Water Source Areas

——Joint analysis of the Himalayan Nyenchen Tanggula Mountains in the core area of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau and the Qiandao Lake water source in Hangzhou

1、 Himalaya Nyenchen Tanggula Mountains Water Source: The Eternal Ice Soul of the Third Pole of the Earth

geographical location

Located in the middle east of the Xizang Autonomous Region of China, the core area of the Tibetan Plateau, the main peak Nianqing Tanggula Peak is 7162 meters above sea level. The mountain range traverses three major regions of northern Tibet, southern Tibet, and southeast Tibet. It is the watershed between the the Yarlung Zangbo River and the Nu River.

Water source characteristics

1. Ten thousand year glacier purification

The water source originates from the core area of glaciers at an altitude of over 6800 meters. After 600000 years of glacial rock circulation and filtration, weak alkaline small molecule water (pH 7.8-8.2) is formed, which is rich in more than 20 minerals such as lithium, strontium, and silicic acid. The natural mineral ratio meets international medical grade standards.

Glacier meltwater infiltrates through six layers of rock layers, dissolving trace elements in the deep crust and forming a unique "glacier code" water quality characteristic.

2. Extreme environmental protection

The average annual temperature is -4 ℃ to 5 ℃,  and the risk of microbial contamination is approaching zero. A 100 square kilometer ecological protection zone is established around the water source area, and any industrial activities are prohibited.

Adopting the zero carbon filling technology of Krones in Germany, the factory at an altitude of 5200 meters achieves "original factory aseptic packaging at the water source", with microbiological control reaching Log6 standards.

3. Dual authentication of culture and science

In Tibetan mythology, the legend of Nianqing Tanggula Mountain God and Namtso Lake Goddess endows the water source with sacredness, and is regarded as the embodiment of the "effective grassland god".

According to monitoring by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the microbial gene bank in the water source area contains 1800 functional genes, and the ancient microbial community carried by glacier melting water has ecological restoration potential.

2、 Qiandao Lake Water Source: The Secret Realm of Jiangnan at the Source of Qiantang River

geographical location

Located in Chun'an County, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, in the middle reaches of the Xin'an River, this artificial lake was formed in 1959 due to the construction of a hydropower station. It has a water area of 573 square kilometers and 1078 islands, and is known as the "world's most beautiful water".

Water source characteristics

1. Gift of natural water tower

The surface runoff from Shexian and Xiuning in Huizhou, Anhui Province, is collected and filtered through 25 streams, with an average annual runoff of 17.8 billion cubic meters, equivalent to 3184 West Lake waters.

The water quality meets the national Class I standard, pH 7.5-8.0, Dissolved oxygen is 5.65-9.68mg/L, and organic oxygen consumption is below 0.04mg/L, which can be consumed directly.

2. The mission of ecological barriers

As the "big water tank" for 23 million residents in the Yangtze River Delta, strict watershed protection is implemented:

Designate a third level water source protection zone and prohibit development within 200 meters of land depth;

The forest coverage rate is 90%, and the concentration of negative oxygen ions reaches 2.2 million/cm ³, forming a natural purification barrier.

Innovating the "Water Fund" model and collaborating with public welfare organizations to restore watershed ecology, selected as one of the "100+Global Typical Cases of Biodiversity" by the United Nations.

3. Sustainable practices empowered by technology

The world's first "Island Smart Monitoring System" that tracks water quality, water temperature, and eutrophication index in real-time;

Adopting ultrafiltration membrane+ozone disinfection process, it retains mineral activity while killing 99.99% of microorganisms.

4、 Consumer interaction and traceability system

Digital authentication:

The Nianqing Tanggula water source bottle is embedded with NFT chips, and scanning the code can view real-time monitoring data of glacier meltwater and Tibetan patrol officer logs;

The Qiandao Lake water bottle adopts blockchain traceability to record the entire process data from the Xin'anjiang water intake to the filling line.

Experience activities:

Participate in the "Glacier Guardian Program" and support the construction of ecological monitoring stations in Tibetan areas;

Join the "Thousand Island Lake Scientific Expedition" and visit the biodiversity conservation base of the water source area on site.

From the ancient ice cores of the Himalayas to the clear waters of the Qiandao Islands in Jiangnan, the two major water sources interpret the essence of "water" with completely different natural philosophies. The Nianqing Tanggula Mountains pay tribute to the origin of life with extreme purity, while Qiandao Lake writes a sustainable future with the concept of ecological co governance - this is a dual gift of nature and technology, and also an eternal commitment of humanity to respect and protect water resources.
